Monday Night.

This finds us still at the hospital which we expect to be here until
Friday or maybe Saturday–she has just tonight officially begun this
“first” round of aggressive chemo–she had an ultrasound done today to
determine where the blood in the urine was coming from–we are very
grateful that it is not coming from the kidneys–that is what bumped
off the chemo from getting started–I told her people were asking how
she’s doing, she said,”they can come visit and see how I’m
doing!”–she is still really hoping to be able to be at camp at least
some of the time–we are really praying that she won’t get mouth sores
from the chemo and that she won’t catch any germs or infections–Marty
is at home being Mr. Mom–we really miss him and the other
children–they were here on Sunday(except for Lauren) and it was hard
to see them go–
We took a walk up to the front nurse’s station this afternoon, and
then went to Child Life–a place where there is lots to do–we got a
“Sissix” machine and we brought it back to the room and had lots of
fun with all the many die-cuts–while we were there, a lady came up to
us and asked how we were doing and called Melanie by name–I was
feeling a little sheepish that I could not remember her or who she was
here with–after talking briefly, she said she is still praying for
her, and also mentioned that its always OK to keep asking for a
miracle and for healing–after we walked out, we were talking about
this lady and neither of us remember ever seeing this lady
before–Melanie thought we should go back and check if she was still
there–did God really send an angel to visit us today?
Melanie has a wound VAC back on her abdominal wound–tomorrow it
will be a week–it has shown tremendous healing in a short amount of
time–we continue to ask once again that you continue to lift us
before our Heavenly Father who knows what we need before we even
